I settled in Kansas City after my father’s retirement from Naval Aviation and transition to TWA. I went to high school at Shawnee Mission South and grew up in Overland Park, KS.
Except for brief stints in Berlin and Salt Lake City, I have called Kansas City home. I do scream “Chiefs” at the end of the National Anthem and live and die Royals. Talk about all the BBQ you like, and we all in KC have our favorites, but Rosedale’s is the best. I like the shuttlecocks, West Bottoms, and “A Christmas Carol” at the KC Rep every holiday season. Oh yeah, and most important, “Rock Chalk.”

I am a veteran of both the US Army and United Parcel Service. This 30+ year continuous effort has afforded me a high-level perspective of leadership, and how leadership must be a mind’s eye viewpoint that has no final destination. It is a constant journey, through which the accomplishments you gain are through a series of conscious steps.
Throughout my career, at UPS, I dedicated myself to leading high-performing teams. I guided great teams in a number of operations, into the top echelon of UPS’ domestic service and in various other business performance and safety measurements as well. Understanding the value of collaboration and healthy competition served me well and provided the best incentive energy to those teams. Life and the parts of it in which we are needed to be the leaders, are my passion for coaching.
